During my four years as Public Relations Director at Big Bear Mountain Resorts, one of my main focuses was on the youth marketing for Bear Mountain. In 2004, we released the first-ever resort snowboard movie with The Park The Movie. The film was a hit so the next year we released No Big Deal and there has been a new Bear Mountain movie every year since. We created a very unique event at Bear Mountain known as “Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails.” This snowboard competition takes place at Bear Mountain every September (12 years running) and typically draws upwards of 6,000 people. One of my favorite promotional items I headed up was our pro snowboarder trading cards in 2004.
In 2009, I returned to Bear Mountain and Snow Summit as a marketing consultant. One of the biggest projects I lead in the first year was an effort to create a documentary tracking 20 year of terrain park development at the resorts. Former Bear Mountain videographer, Justin Meyer and I reunited to directed the sixth Bear Mountain movie that we dubbed Parkumentary. “Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails” rolls on in 2009 as we set records in attendance, season pass sales and had the best line-up of pro riders ever. This event seems unstoppable and continues on today.

I also lead Bear Mountain to institute a modern online marketing strategy that started with the redesign of their website. The new site is in a blog format and seamlessly integrates with all of the social networking and online media sites that are vital to online marketing today.
These portfolio folders represent just a few of the marking projects, events and materials I’ve developed over the years. I’ve headed up the strategic marketing for multiple businesses now including resorts, brands and media companies. My work has included the management of pro and am teams, the creation and management of events, the development of press kits, brochures, websites and magazine, newspaper, radio, television and web advertisements as well as all kinds of promotional materials including shirts, stickers, posters, trading cards, etc.. I’ve also worked on movies and video games and I’ve been interviewed on live tv, radio and webcasts countless times.
